Treasure Valley Cluster Connections – May 2023

TV Cluster Connections Header

Welcome to our latest edition of Treasure Valley Cluster Connections.

Dear Friends in Christ,

It has been an honor to be the dean of the Treasure Valley Cluster these past two years and to be part of the cluster since November 2010. I am grateful for all I have learned about collaboration, partnership, faith formation, leadership development, neighbor love and so much more by being part of this cluster. I am so proud of all we have been and done together for the sake of the gospel. You all have also taught me about being a Lutheran Christian in the Great Basin region of the country. Thank you! I am humbled to serve you soon in the role of bishop of the Northwest Intermountain Synod. Our synod constitution stipulates that I live within the synod. I might ponder moving when I get to January, but this fall, as I transition into this new role, my residence will remain in the Treasure Valley. I am excited to start visiting our congregations and other congregations in the synod as your bishop this summer. I am not able, as of this writing, to announce a new cluster dean, but I anticipate that happening in July. Finally, please mark your calendars for my Installation at Cathedral of the Rockies, Boise First United Methodist Church on Saturday October 7 (afternoon, exact time TBD).
